THE BOARD
Smart Energy GB is a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee. The company is governed by a non-executive board, whose make-up is set out in law, led by an independent non-executive chair.
The Board comprises of:
- a chair appointed by the relevant suppliers;
- six directors representing the interests of energy suppliers;
- four directors representing the interests of energy consumers; and
- any person who is, from time to time, appointed as Chief Executive Officer
These positions are made up by:
- Mark Lund (Chair)
- Dan Brooke (Chief Executive Officer)
Six directors representing energy suppliers:
- Martin Aylward
- Daren Carter
- Kerrie Maisey
- Rebecca Dibb-Simkin
- Jill Dougan
- Elvin Nagamootoo
Four directors representing energy consumers:
- Steve Crabb
- Maxine Frerk
- Chris MacLeod
- Ann McKechin
As a highly collaborative organisation SEGB also welcomes to Board meetings representatives from DESNZ, Ofgem, Citizens Advice/Citizens Advice Scotland, network operators, and the independent chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
